This application is for those Food Grower and Producer vendors who want to attend market on an occasional day by day basis. They will not become members of the Cobourg Farmers Market Association.
Please use the separate 'Artisan' form if applying as an Artisan.
- Preference is given to growers or producers residing in Northumberland County. (Applicants from outside Northumberland County may be accepted or declined at the discretion of the Board).
- Vendors are required to submit an application yearly for approval of the Board of Directors.
- Vendors must produce 100% of what they sell (exclusive of packaging). Specialty products and exceptions may be approved or declined at the discretion of the Board.
- Vendors of prepared foods, meats, cheeses, fish, etc. must meet all health requirements and pass all inspections of the Haliburton, Kawartha, Pine Ridge (HKPR) District Health Unit prior to attending the market.
If, once approved, a vendor wishes to introduce a new product that is outside the category scope of their original product, they must receive prior approval from the Board.
- The market opens at 8 am and closes at 1pm. Set-up is from 6:45 - 7:45 am and tear down is from 1:00 - 2:00 pm each Saturday, May through October. You must be present for the entire market, even if you have sold all of your product.
- Vendors are responsible for providing their own market canopy, tables, chairs and all other equipment. The market is held outside, rain or shine.
- Fees: Day vendors will be charged a regular daily fee of $40 for each market date attended. Day vendors must pay their fee prior to setup.
- Deadline to apply: Febraury 28, 2025. Any applications received after that date will be placed on a waiting list and reviewed by our board monthly.
