    • Business Income & Expenses Worksheet

      If you received any sort of cash income, you are required to file a Schedule C. This allows you to deduct expenses incurred throughout the year. These expenses may include, but are not limited to, gas, tolls, mileage, food, supplies, and other costs directly related to business purposes. Please provide the total annual amounts for these expenses below.

      If you use your car for business purposes, you may be able to deduct car expenses. To deduct mileage for auto expenses on a tax return, a log must be kept which details mileage driven for business purposes. This log, or something which keeps track of mileage, would be needed to justify the write-off for the expense in the event of an audit. Fill out the following information about your vehicle.

    • Home Office Deduction

      You may be able to deduct certain expenses for the part of your home that you use for business. In order to deduct these expenses, you must use an area of your home exclusively and regularly for business. If you regularly use an area of your home exclusively as an office, for inventory storage or to meet clients/customers, you can deduct a portion of your real estate taxes, mortgage interest, rent, casualty losses, utilities, insurance, depreciation, maintenance, and repairs. You can deduct 100% of the expenses that are related specifically to your home office, for example: painting, cleaning or repairing your home office.
