  • IPP MALAYSIA RULES & REGULATIONS

    The following Rules and Regulations shall apply to all visitors, suppliers and contractors entering any Company site.
  • 1. HYGIENE & PROTECTIVE ATTIRE POLICY

    1.1. The Company’s Protective Attire Policy has been developed to ensure that there is no contamination risk to the products produced within the Production area, and to ensure that the health and safety of all persons in the Production area is not compromised. In line with this, all persons entering the production floor are required to adhere to the Protective Attire Policy at all times.

    1.2. You must wear the following protective attire:

    1.2.1. Overcoat

    1.2.2. Hairnet

    1.2.3. Safety Shoes

    1.2.4. Earplugs

    1.2.5. Helmets (in designated areas)

    1.2.6. Face Masks

    1.3. You must be properly attired when entering the Production area.

    1.3.1. Your disposable or designated overcoat must be worn to ensure that all personal clothing is covered by the overcoat.

    1.3.2. Hairnets must cover your ears and contain all hair. To ensure that all hair is contained within the net, long hair should be tied into a neat bun before using the hairnet.

    1.3.3. All persons are expected to wear safety shoes. Slippers, sandals, and all other foot apparel that is either not fully covered or worn outdoors, is strictly prohibited.

    1.3.4. Hands must be washed and sanitised upon every entry or exit from the Production area, in accordance with the Company’s Clean As You Go Policy.

    1.3.5. Fingernails must be kept short and clean, and false nails, nail polish, or any other nail accessory/nail art is strictly prohibited.

    1.3.6. Face masks must be worn properly to cover the nose and mouth, and to contain any facial hair, to avoid any contamination risks to other employees or to products whilst they are within Company premises.

    1.3.7. Earplugs must be worn throughout the designated zones (Zone A).

    1.3.8. Any additional personal protective equipment that is provided for safety purposes must be used as instructed.

    1.3.9. The use of perfume and/or aftershave is not permitted in the Production area.

    1.4. PPE must be removed once leaving the Production area, and any PPE that requires disposal must be disposed of in the designated bin.

    1.5. Good personal hygiene is also of paramount importance in ensuring that there is no contamination.

  • 2. JEWELLERY

    2.1. We are committed to producing safe products which are not contaminated by any jewellery items. In line with this, all persons entering the production floor are required to adhere to the Jewellery Policy at all times. This policy is designed to ensure that there is no risk of contamination to the product and to the consumer, and as a Health and Safety precaution for anyone in the Production area.

    2.1.1 The only jewellery permitted in the production floor is a plain wedding band and continuous loop earrings.

    2.1.2 All other jewellery items or accessories are strictly prohibited in the production floor. This includes, but is not limited to, all watches, rings, necklaces, bracelets, bangles, string jewellery, false eyelashes, false nails, body glitter or jewels, hair accessories, and stickered bindi’s.

  • 3. SMOKING 

    3.1 Smoking is strictly prohibited in all areas within the Company’s premises other than the designated smoking area by the guard house.

  • 4. FOOD AND DRINK 

    4.1. All persons are strictly prohibited to eat and drink within Company premises, unless within the designated areas. Food consumption and storage must be contained within these areas in line with the Company’s pest control policy.

    4.2. Food and drink are strictly prohibited within the Production area.

    4.3. Drinking water is available from water dispensers located at the production entrance. Kindly ensure that any consumption of water is contained to this area.

  • 5. PERSONAL BELONGINGS 

    5.1 Personal belongings and items, especially personal mobile telephones and musical devices, shall not be taken into production areas without the permission of the Management.

  • 6. GLASS AND SHARP ITEMS 

    6.1. We are committed to producing safe products which are not contaminated by any glass or sharp items. In line with this, all persons entering the production floor are required to adhere to the Glass & Sharp Items Policy at all times.

    6.1.1. Bringing in or using any materials made from glass, brittle plastic, and blades in the Production Area is strictly prohibited.

    6.1.2. Where glass or sharp materials are broken or discovered in the production or storage area, it is to be reported immediately to a manager or supervisor who will ensure clean up according to the breakage procedure to avoid product contamination.

  • 7. HEALTH & SAFETY  

    7.1. Any communicable or contagious illnesses or ailments that have a risk of spreading must be reported to your visitor representative immediately. Any affected person will not be permitted to enter the facility as long as the symptoms persist.

    7.2. Any person wearing a bandage or plaster, and is intending to access the Production area, must inform their visitor representative. Any affected person will have to change their bandages or plaster with an authorised blue plaster containing a metal detection strip, before entering production.

    7.3. Medication shall not be brought into the production floor under any circumstances.

    7.4. All persons are strictly prohibited from the unauthorised operation of machinery & equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, tampering with electrical switchboards and supplies.

    7.5. In line with the Company’s Protective Attire Policy, protective headgear and earplugs must be worn in the designated areas.

    7.6. No person shall be under the influence, and/or in possession of, and/or using alcoholic beverages, within the Company.

    7.7. It is a criminal offence to use or possess illegal drugs in Malaysia. Thus, no person shall be under the influence of, and/or in possession of, and/or use drugs (other than medication provided under a doctor’s prescription) within the Company premises.

    7.8. No person shall be permitted to carry offensive weapons such as firearms, explosive materials, poison, corrosive chemicals, and unauthorised knives and sharp objects within the Company premises.

    7.9. Whilst in the Production area, no visitors, suppliers or contractors are allowed to come into contact with any machines or products, unless they are given explicit authorisation by an authorised representative of the Company’s Management (Senior Manager level and above only).

  • 8. SECURITY 

    8.1. All persons are expected to adhere to the Company's security procedures. These procedures have been designed to ensure the safety of all persons within the Company premises.

    8.2. All persons are also required to drive carefully within the Company premises whilst being mindful of all pedestrians. Any visitors, suppliers or contractors shall not park within the premises unless they have been allocated a parking space in advance of their visit by the People Operations Department.

    8.3. Unauthorised persons are strictly not permitted access within the Company premises. All visitors, suppliers, and contractors must have completed the proper registration processes, in line with the Company’s requirements, prior to any meetings or appointments.

    8.4. All visitors, suppliers and contractors are strictly prohibited from accessing any part of the Company’s premises without being accompanied, at all times, by authorised Company personnel.

  • 9.0 COMPANY PROPERTY 

    9.1. No person is allowed to use the Company’s property for personal use.

    9.2. Should the Company have a reasonable suspicion that any person is in unauthorised possession of the Company’s property, tangible or intangible, the Company reserves the right to take the necessary action.

  • 10. MEDIA

    10.1. No visitors, supplier partners or contractors are permitted to provide or express any unfavourable, improper, and most especially incorrect or inaccurate information or comments, photos and test reports through any form of social media, which include but are not limited to WeChat, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Space, Microblog, forum, workgroup, company website, brochures, etc. It must be noted that this list is not exhaustive and should be used as a guidance on scope only.

  • 11. CONFIDENTIALITY

    11.1. All persons entering Company premises must be aware that the Company is bound in the confidentiality agreements that are held with the Company’s Customers, and all other similar related terms and agreements.

    11.2. All visitors, suppliers and contractors must acknowledge, understand, and accept their obligations to the Company with regards to confidential information.

    11.3. In line with this, all persons entering the Company’s premises must undertake not to use, disclose or duplicate any Confidential Information in a manner which may injure, cause loss directly or indirectly to the Company, its existing business and any other business it may venture into and in a manner that is contrary to the proper performance of my employment duties.

    11.4. All visitors, suppliers and contractors are strictly prohibited from using phones or cameras to take any photos within the Company premises.

    11.5. Where any persons are found to have breached their confidentiality obligations to the Company, the Company reserves all rights to pursue legal action against the necessary person(s) for any such breach.
