EVENT DESCRIPTION

The 2025 Ottawa Valley Battle of the Bands is a 7 Area qualifying competition with one winner from each Region of the Ottawa Valley being invited to compete for the BEST BAND in the Ottawa Valley Competition on the Big Stage at the Ottawa Valley Stomp and Lumberjack Festival.

Area 1 - The Blvd Pub and Grill - Petawawa

Area 2 - Legends - Pembroke

Area 3 - Redneck Bistro - Renfrew

Area 4 - Bowies Live Music Hall - Smiths Falls

Area 5 - Overflow Brewery - Ottawa South

Area 6 - Lowertown Brewery - Ottawa Centre

BAND PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bands will be judged on the following criteria: Originality, Stage Performance, Song Writing, Instrumental Fluidity, Overall
- Bands will be required to play at least 2 original songs and 1 amazing cover song of choice

Band Information
BANDS MUST ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THE FOLLOWING TO PARTICIPATE:
- If a performer is below the age of 18, they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times.
- Every member of the band is expected to be present for the sound check - date to be provided.
- Set lists need to be reviewed and approved by the staff, and they should not contain any explicit lyrics.
- Prior to being accepted into the competition, all band members are obligated to meet with the staff. During this meeting, they will be given a tour of the venue and discuss instrumentation.
