2025 Business of the Year
Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce
Eligibility:
1. Any business that was a 2025 investor in the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce and is still in operation at the time of the nomination. 2. Small Business Award Nominees must employ 1-50 people 3. Large Business Award Nominees must employ 51 or more people.
Criteria:
Demonstrates exceptional leadership by effectively managing change and overcoming hardships to achieve business growth. Is steadfast in its commitment to exceptional customer service, management, and ethical business practices. Provides industry leadership through innovative products and services. Continuously adapts and improves based on market trends and needs and has a vision that drives progress and growth. Invests in employees by creating an environment for growth and emerging leadership, and offers training to improve the day-to-day activities of the business. Cultivates a dynamic workplace culture that attracts and retains a high-quality workforce, ensuring long-term success. Displays a deep commitment to the community and community service by providing leadership and setting an example through active support and volunteerism with local organizations.
To Nominate:
The general public is invited to nominate any business that was a member in good standing of the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce through the end of 2025, and the business is currently in operation. Complete the nomination form with detailed answers as to why you believe the business is worthy of the award. A committee of professionals will review each nomination. One small business recipient and one large business recipient will be honored at the Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Membership Appreciation Dinner in May. Nominations are accepted until March 15, 2026.
