It is time to take serious action to end the crisis on our streets. During his inaguration speech Mayor Lurie shared some of his plan, including the current legislation that is under consideration by the Board of Supervisors.

Since 2019, over 4,000 lives have been lost to overdose deaths on our streets. On Wednesday, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors’ budget committee will consider the Mayor’s effort to treat this like the emergency it is.

Send an email in support of this legislation to the Mayor and our Supervisors below.

On Wednesday, January 29, 9AM, before the budget meeting join Mother’s Against Drug Addiction & Deaths, ConnectedSF and others for a RALLY on the steps of City Hall.

Following the rally, we will enter City Hall to testify in support of the legislation.

Dear Supervisors,&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;I am writing to urge you to support Mayor Daniel Lurie’s Fentanyl State of Emergency Legislation. &#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;San Francisco’s public health crisis has overtaken our streets, creating unsafe and dangerous environments for residents of all ages.  The current conditions are having devastating impacts on every aspect of life in SF. The response-to-date from city leadership  demonstrates a total lack of compassion and political will.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Mayor Lurie’s plan offers a crucial first step toward addressing this humanitarian crisis by cracking down on drug dealers and providing vital services for those suffering on our streets.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Vote yes on the Fentanyl State of Emergency to establish critical initiatives such as:&#13;&#10;-  Permanent Drug Market Agency Coordination Center&#13;&#10;-  S.F. Hospitality Zone Task Force&#13;&#10;-  Crisis Stabilization Unit&#13;&#10;-  Emergency powers for procurement, contracting  funding and hiring to ensure the on-going success of this initiative. Mayor Lurie promises contracts WITH accountability.&#13;&#10;&#13;&#10;Your YES vote supports a bold and essential move toward creating a safer, cleaner and more compassionate San Francisco,  one that voters made clear they wanted.
