Application for Uganda Mission Trip 2023

We are excited to invite you to join us in bringing love and hope in Uganda, Africa! We are partnering with Wells of Hope in Uganda, as a team serving under Camp David International and Jewel Warriors.

This trip Mercedes Bailey-Rhodes will be leading two ministry opportunities:

1. Camp David Uganda- Opportunities to serve at the camp in support roles and medical outreach. Together we will love the children and encourage the national leaders and give lots of smiles and hugs.

2. Jewel Warrior Prison Ministry- Before the camp, the women on our team will serve at the first women's prison conference. Here we will share the love and hope in Jesus. We will empower and remind the incarcerated women that they are still loved and valued despite their circumstances. The men in our group will join Wells of Hope in doing prison ministry and touring some of their ministries.

DETAILS

Dates: August 7-17, 2025

Cost: Approx: $4,400 each person. This includes your airfare and travel, and food and lodging in Uganda. It does not include your vaccines, passport or visa costs, or your own personal shopping.

The first milestone of approx. $2,500 is due May 7, 2025 for your airfare (This is subject to change). Your second milestone of $1,900 is for in-country ministry and costs, which is due July 7, 2025. If you join our team after June 7th, the airfare cost may go up.

Waiver of Responsibility/Assumption of Risk/Medical Release

In consideration of the benefits derived from being accepted for voluntary service on a Camp David International Short-Term Mission Trip, and fully understanding that the risks associated with such service may include, but are not limited to, injury or death by accident, disease, terrorist acts, adverse weather conditions and inadequate medical care, and/or damage to, or loss of, personal property, I hereby volunteer my services despite such hazards.

I willingly assume these risks and I, for myself, and on behalf of my estate, heirs, executors, and administrators do hereby fully release and discharge Camp David International, it's leaders and officers, sponsoring organizations, and Wells of Hope in Uganda, from any and all liabilities, claims, obligations, damages, and causes of action whatsoever arising or growing out of my traveling and participation in the Uganda Mission Trip.

Furthermore, any of the above -mentioned have my permission to obtain medical treatment, hospitalization and/or emergency services if the need should arise. I assume all responsibility for any resulting medical bills for myself. Should it be necessary for me to return home due to medical reasons or family crisis, I will assume any and all costs.

I am committed to serving the Lord with the Uganda Mission Trip with all my heart and energy from August 7-17, 2025. The only thing that will keep me from this commitment would be a serious health issue or a family emergency.
I understand that while attending the Uganda Mission Trip, I may be working in non-air-conditioned buildings, and experiencing many different things that are out of my comfort zone including new tastes, smells, and sights.
I am committed to following the guidelines in the Global Opportunities Trip Guide (found on the website).
I understand the mission for Camp David International is to provide a Christian Camp experience where one can experience love, find hope, and grow in a relationship with Jesus Christ.
