PARENT/GUARDIAN’S APPROVAL AND
STUDENT WAIVER TO PARTICIPATE IN GRAD NIGHT 2026
I understand that the Universal Studios Hollywood™ Grad Bash event on May 29-30, 2026, is a Van Nuys High School Magnet Parents Association (VNHS MPA) sponsored activity and is in no way affiliated with Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).
Waiver of claims for Liability for VNHS MPA, Van Nuys High School (VNHS), or LAUSD and its affiliates (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: Teachers, Faculty, and Parent Chaperones): In providing consent for my child to attend and participate in the trip to Universal Studios Hollywood™ and the after-hours Grad Bash event, I forever waive, release and discharge any right, claims and actions against the MPA, VNHS, LAUSD, and its affiliates for injury, accident, illness, or death that may have, or that may occur during or by reason of Grad Bash.
I understand that my child is not required to participate in Grad Bash, and I am making this request voluntarily because I wish my child to participate in this event. I understand that this release must be signed by a parent/guardian before a ticket may be purchased.
I understand the following Grad Bash Rules & Regulations: I understand that all persons, bags, backpacks, purses, clothing, packages, and other items are subject to X-ray and/or additional inspection prior to entering the theme park and also within the park. Universal Studios Grad Bash is a drug, alcohol, and weapon-free environment. City of Los Angeles law enforcement officials will be present at the entry point and throughout the event. If drugs, alcohol, weapons, or other prohibited items are found during the entrance inspection or at any point during the event, these authorities will take appropriate action.
The following items are prohibited: Electronic cigarettes, tobacco, or tobacco related products such as lighters, matches, pipes, etc., alcohol or any controlled substance, glass containers, outside food or containers with fluids of any kind, weapons, knives, laser pointers, or objects that resemble weapons, such as switchblade combs, cat eye key fobs, or other disruptive objects, and chemical irritants of any kind.
I also acknowledge and agree that in the event my child violates any of Universal’s Rules & Regulations or posted Code of Conduct, my child will be asked to leave Universal’s property and may be cited for trespassing or violation of local, state or federal law, and in such an event, I agree to be responsible for picking up my child at Universal Studios.
