Dear PL1-4 Umpires,

Thank you to our senior umpires for your support and dedication to our Association. Your time, experience and enthusiasm is appreciated.

Can you please complete the below Questionnaire with as much detail as possible, it will assist with our umpire allocations for the 2025 season. If you have any changes throughout the season due to tournament appointments or injury, please let me know as soon as practical.

Please ensure you inform your club of your availability, especially if you are umpiring for multiple clubs.

BWHA senior turf fixtures are rotated across all 5 venues and 7 turf surfaces with fixtures being played for all divisions between 12pm and 9pm. Where possible, BWHA will not allocate umpires to venues they do not wish to travel to or timeslots they are unavailable for. If there is a venue or timeslot that is difficult for you to commute to, or prefer not to umpire at, please select below and BWHA will endevour not to place you at this venue or timeslot dependant on the fixtures scheduled.

When allocated to umpire, do you prefer to umpire 1 or 2 games?*
Where possible, umpires will get multiple games in a row if this is their preference, but cannot always be accommodated. Reminder that umpires cannot do more than two allocations or play then umpire in a row, they must have a games break, to ensure they can perform their allocation to the best of their ability. (E.g. umpire 2 games, break, play 1 game).
BWHA has a great pool of young umpires coming through who we are looking to upskill in PL1, PL2 & PL3 this year

BWHA is looking for Umpire Mentors and Assessors throughout the 2025 season for our various competitions to develop, maintain and foster our umpires within our Association. We are looking for umpires to assist with:

Friday Night - Junior Turf, various turf venues

Saturday AM & PM - Junior & Senior Grass, Downey Park (Windsor)

Saturday AM - Junior & Senior Turf, various turf venues

Sunday PM - Senior Turf, various turf venues

Monday PM - Monday Masters, various turf venues

BWHA would like to appoint as many mentors as possible on various competitions during the season for allocations from March-September and will require assessors from April-August. Please complete the below section if you are interested in assisting at any stage during the season.

Payment: Umpire payments are based on your current HockeyEd accreditation and the game level as listed above. BWHA must have a current copy of your accreditation certification on file to be paid.
