WHS Pre-Placement Checklist (NSW)
Please read and confirm the following Work Health and Safety checklist before any Infintree labour hire worker commences work at your site.
1. Induction, Training & Competency
- A site-specific safety induction will be provided before work starts.
- All site safety documentation and toolbox talks will be provided to the worker.
- The worker will not be required to perform tasks beyond their training or competency.
- A risk register covering the worker’s tasks has been completed and is available.
2. Plant, Equipment & PPE
- All plant, machinery and tools the worker will use are maintained and tested/tagged.
- Appropriate PPE will be supplied on site to safely carry out the required tasks (excluding hi-vis, long pants, and ankle lace steel-toe boots) and its use enforced.
3. High-Risk Activities & General Hazards
- The tasks do not involve unassessed high-risk activities (e.g., heights, live electricity, confined spaces).
- The site is free from uncontrolled hazards (unguarded edges, live services, unsecured loads).
- Safe access and egress to the work area are provided.
4. Manual Handling & Physical Tasks
- Manual-handling risks are controlled (mechanical aids, team lifts, training).
- The worker will not work alone in high-risk situations without buddy or monitoring.
5. Worker Supervision & Support
- A competent supervisor will oversee the worker at all times.
- The worker can readily contact both Infintree and the site supervisor.
- Remote or isolated work is supported by a check-in/communication system.
6. Fatigue Management
- Work scheduling prevents excessive fatigue (e.g., limits on hours, breaks, travel).
7. Violence, Aggression & Security
- Controls are in place for potential violence or aggression.
- Security measures (lighting, fencing, alarms) are adequate.
8. Environmental Conditions
- Extreme temperature exposures have been assessed and controlle.
9. Emergency Preparedness & First Aid
- A stocked first-aid kit and trained first-aider are available on site.
- Emergency procedures (evacuation, fire, medical) are in place, displayed and explained.
- Infintree will be notified immediately of any incident or injury involving the worker.
10. Hazardous Chemicals
- Hazardous chemicals are stored, labelled and managed; relevant SDS will be provided.
11. Insurance & Change Management
- Workers’ compensation insurance covers the labour-hire worker for this NSW work.
- The worker’s tasks will not change without prior notification to Infintree.
12. Operational & HR Compliance
- Weekly Timesheet Confirmation Form for the worker/s will be verified and submitted to Infintree by Wednesday of the following working week.
- Meal and rest breaks will be provided in line with the relevant award or enterprise agreement.
- Workers are protected by comprehensive anti-bullying and mental and physical harassment policies, and the host company has the systems in place to enforce it effectively.
- Any performance, conduct, or safety concerns involving the worker will be reported to Infintree on the same working day.
- Adequate welfare amenities (toilets, drinking water, shelter) are available and accessible to the worker.
- Overtime or changes to ordinary hours will not be assigned without prior approval from Infintree.
