  • Thank you for your interest in supporting the Fostering Success Program (FSP) at Colorado State University! We appreciate your care for our incredible independent students. This form allows you to sign up to receive information about specific ways you can be involved in FSP, indicate your interest in receiving a Fostering Success Program newsletter each semester, and give us your contact information so we can send program updates throughout the year.   • FSP students who graduate from CSU are invited to apply for FSP Community, a network of support for FSP students. As an FSP alumnus, you have the unique insight about successfully transitioning from college to career. Learn more about this volunteer opportunity and apply.

  • There are several opportunities to support the Fostering Success Program as CSU faculty/staff. A couple possibilities include sitting on the FSP Leadership Council (monthly meetings helping steer the direction of FSP) and educating campus (inviting the FSP team to present to your class/department). Contact andrea.fortney@colostate.edu if you would like to set up a meeting to determine specific ways you’d like to be involved with on campus support of FSP.

  • Ways to Engage

  • Our program is free for students, has no participation requirements, and supports students from sensitive backgrounds. Independent students can engage with FSP as much or as little as they like. With this knowledge, we ask that potential supporters understand and respect students right to privacy, including the knowledge that while you might not meet them directly, your donations and support are deeply felt and sincerely appreciated. Our newsletters, thank you letters, and other student correspondences are the best way to keep up to date on your impact. Please let us know how you’d like to be involved based on the options below.

    • Care Packages
      • Donate bulk items (toothbrushes, snacks, personal care items, gift cards, etc) to be sent to FSP students in care packages. We send out care packages to 100-150 students a few times each year. Bulk items can range from $20 for 150 tissue packets or fruit snacks for everyone, to large $20 items for each student. There is an opportunity to donate for any budget!
    • Care Corner
      • Donate individual hygiene products (soap, floss, shaving cream, etc) that FSP students can pick up as needed in the FSP Mentoring Office. This is also a good opportunity for supporters interested in hosting a drive for specific items (canvas grocery bags, personal care products, etc).
    • FSP Student Dinner
      • Sign up to bring a single dinner item (store or restaurant packaged) to an FSP dinner. This is also a good opportunity for supporters interested in coordinating with restaurants to sponsor an FSP dinner.
    • Quilts for Graduates
      • Are you a quilter or know quilters who would like to donate a quilt as a graduation gift for an FSP student? These are cherished and appreciated by each FSP graduate, and many look forward to receiving one.
    • Social Events
      • For those with connections to fun social opportunities in Fort Collins, offer discounted tickets for a group of ~20 students. 
    • Financial Wellness Education
      • Incentivize FSP students to learn best practices for having a healthy budget. We ask periodically for $50 gift card donations, which are a helpful gift for FSP students attending financial wellness education sessions.

    Selecting interest in any of the options below does not commit you to supporting this service but simply places you on a contact list to you’ll learn more and have opportunities to sign up to support FSP in the future.
