Christian Peranzi is an ultra-runner and a proud person in recovery, celebrating over eight years of sobriety. After overcoming immense challenges, Christian discovered trail running as a source of healing, strength, and connection. What began as a way to rebuild has since transformed into a passion for testing physical and mental limits in the ultra-running world. Having competed innumerous grueling races, including multiple Ironman's, a 100-mile trail ultramarathon and the Black Canyon Ultras 100k, Christian thrives on embracing discomfort and pushing beyond boundaries to achieve the extraordinary. Now, Christian is embarking on the most ambitious challenge yet: competing in The Mammoth, a grueling  208-mile ultramarathon in the Eastern Sierras. This race isn’t just about miles—it’s a mission. Christian is running to raise funds for the Gratitude and Grace Foundation, an organization close to his heart that supports individuals and their families who are in recovery from substance abuse and organ transplants. Combining a personal story of resilience with a commitment to helping others, Christian hopes to inspire others to believe in their capacity to overcome and give back to a community that made his own recovery possible. Through this endeavor, Christian is proving that life’s toughest climbs can lead to the most breathtaking summits, both on and off the trail.
