First Friday ArtWalk Membership Requirements:

Location MUST display original work from local or regional artists. Buy/sell retail products are not considered original work.
First Friday ArtWalk is once a month from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. You agree to be open during these hours.
Rotating exhibits are recommended with new work each month. Select your own show theme or artists to feature in a designated space. Contact ArtWalk sponsor/administrator Greg Grant at (386) 871-9906 for assistance if needed. Live art demonstrations are strongly encouraged!
Complimentary refreshments should be offered.
Music is strongly recommended, especially live music if possible. Make the atmosphere fun and inviting to encourage first-time visitors to return.
It is expected that members maintain a social media presence promoting First Friday ArtWalk for the benefit of all.
Display proper signage for First Friday ArtWalk, and direct visitors to appropriate areas. Participating venues will receive a black A frame sandwich sign and two 24"x36" corrugated inserts printed with the official copyrighted logo. A supply of rack cards will be provided with gallery or art venue listings on one side, and a map of individual locations downtown on the other side. These marketing items are provided at no charge to members. The Downtown Development Authority maintains a website and newsletter containing info featuring First Friday ArtWalk including hotlinks to approved member websites or social media pages. Annual updates occur in May and June for funding requests and printing of signs and rack cards. Please email any changes or corrections to artquest@live.com
All members must have a legitimate place of business from which to participate, have a current Florida Sales Tax Certificate, current City of Daytona Beach BRT number, and proof of commercial liability insurance. Members agree to hold Gregory Grant, Arts on Granada, LLC DBA Galerie Elan, and the City of Daytona Beach harmless for any and all damages occuring to you, your guests and customers, property and contents, physical structures, automobiles or equipment or anything else which may incurr damage or injury as a result of impacts from First Friday ArtWalk.
Should a gallery or art venue fail to honor any of these requirements, membership will be revoked. Signs and marketing materials must be relenquished and website / newsletter links terminated. Unethical behavior will not be tolerated. Unauthorized use of the First Friday ArtWalk name in the Daytona Beach area, image, signs, or logos, constitutes intellectual property theft. Violators will be prosecuted.
Further, it is expected that all members maintain professional courtesy toward one another. Our goal with First Friday ArtWalk is to promote Downtown Daytona Beach as an arts and culture destination. We have made great progress towards this in the last three years with more perks and expansion on the horizon. As Hyatt Brown said, "We are in the right place at the right time."
