Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety protocols, including sanitizing toys and classroom surfaces, ensuring that children are properly hydrated, and managing any first aid needs in case of minor injuries. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers and childcare staff to ensure consistent implementation of the center's curriculum and policies. Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities. Documentation: Assist in documenting children's progress, behavioral observations, and participation in activities, contributing to child development assessments.
Must meet DHS Rule 3 Child Care Teacher requirements OR have the desire and ability to complete needed trainings to become teacher qualified. Previous experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar childcare setting is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from Lead Teachers and supervisors. Understanding of child development principles and age-appropriate practices. CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain Ability to pass background checks and other relevant screening. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. Ability to kneel, bend, and sit on the floor to interact with children. Ability to engage in active play (e.g., running, dancing, jumping, etc with children. Working Conditions: This position requires working in a classroom or daycare setting with groups of children. May require extended hours, evenings, depending on the needs of the childcare center.
