Cannabis Growers Unionization Petition Logo
  • Help Overturn Racist Labor Laws

Right now, budtenders can form a union,
cannabis processors can form a union,
    but cannabis growers cannot.

Back in the 1930s, the architects of the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA) excluded agricultural workers from the right to organize a union, denying labor protections to disproportionately high numbers of Black and Brown people. That racist legacy continues today.

A new proposal, HB 1141, would help end that shameful legacy by allowing cannabis growers to organize in Washington, giving them the same rights as their industry peers.

Let’s make this right. Add your name!
