Important!
In order to be considered for any need-based scholarships, you must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the Oregon Student Aid Application (ORSAA). Online applications are available at www.fafsa.ed.gov and www.oregonstudentaid.gov/fafsa-orsaa.aspx respectively. These tools are used to calculate your Student Aid Index (SAI), an indicator of financial need that is used by the Scholarship Committee as part of the eligibility determination process.
If you have questions about financial aid, please make an appointment to see a Student Success Coach by clicking here.
OCCC Foundation
These scholarships were made possible through donations to the Oregon Coast Community College Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to advancing educational opportunities at Oregon Coast Community College by raising funds to support college needs and increasing public awareness of the College and its many benefits.
Your application will be evaluated by members of the OCCC Foundation Scholarship Committee who will base their scores on a holistic evaluation of your application, including:
* Financial need, which is based on Student Aid Index (SAI) as calculated as a result of your FAFSA or ORSAA submission.
* Your answers to the essay questions below, which will be evaluated primarily based on content. However, poor spelling and grammar could result in a lower rating.
* Additional factors depend on the specific eligibility requirements of individual scholarships.
