  • We are excited that you are interested in becoming part of Team Seattle 2026!  As an official local preliminary to the Miss America and Miss America's Teen Programs, the Miss Seattle Scholarship Competition allows young women in our community opportunities to succeed through education and public service.   • QUALIFICATIONS
    To become a 2026 contestant a contestant must:

    ​*Be a United States citizen

    *Be the following age:

    Teen: 14-18 years old (Must be no younger than 14 by Sept. 1, 2026 & no older than 18 by Sept. 30. 2026)
    Miss: 18-28 years old (Must be no younger than 18 by Sept. 1, 2026 & no older than 28 by Sept. 30, 2026)​ 

    *Single

    *Be a female

    *No legal dependents

    *Meet residency requirements for competing

    *Be in reasonably good health to meet the job requirements

    *Be able to meet the time commitment and job responsibilities

    *Registration Nationals $49.99 (We will give you information)

    *Seattle Scholarship Program Entry Fee $50.00 (We will give you information)

    *Register with American Heart Association Spotfund and Raise $30.00 fundraising required. (We will give you information)

    *Recommend $300 in program book ads (We will give you information)

    *Must wear Rebel Athletic "Red Color" Miss America Collection Athletic Top and Athletic Bottom for Fitness competition. They are an official sponsor of Miss America.

    ​$34 - $42 (plus tax + shipping) Rebel Athletic top. The Miss America Organization requires all local contestants to wear a Rebel Athletic top at the local level for the fitness competition. 

    $45 - $68 (plus tax + shipping) Rebel Athletic bottom. The Miss America Organization requires all local contestants to wear a Rebel Athletic bottom at the local level for the fitness competition. 

    AHA Go Red Fundraiser, $30 required to be raised per contestant. We will give you information for setting up your Spotfund/AHA Go Red account if you don't have one already set up.

    Sell a full page of advertisements ($300) minimum in program magazine advertisement sales. Contestants are encouraged to approach local businesses or family and friends and sell advertisement space in our program magazine. The more program magazine advertisements sold, the more scholarship we are able to award. There are incentives for the contestants that sell the most advertisements. Program magazine advertisement prices are $150 for half page or $300 for full page. 

    ​Eligibility requirements are subject to change as new guidelines are provided by the Miss America Organization. Additional details and full qualifications can be found in the Miss America Organization contract which each candidate will review and sign before competing.

    Time commitment for candidates for Miss Seattle, Miss Emerald City & Miss Seattle's Teen - 4 rehearsals (including 1 dress rehearsal) and Final Show.
