Above all, as a Rainbow's Bridge volunteer, handling, working with, and sharing space with abandoned, abused, neglected, ill, fearful, feral, semi-feral, stray animals, I commit to behave and operate with compassion, kindness, patience, integrity, calm, consideration. I understand that each animal in care has a different need, has experienced a different past, and as such will require various levels of quiet, calm, patient, and kind handling. I am here for the sole purpose of caring for them, earning their trust, creating safety, demonstrating kindness and commit to being an ongoing source of love and safety for every animal in care.

Carrying items less than 50 lbs
Disinfecting enclosures

As a volunteer with Rainbow’s Bridge Animal Rescue (RBAR), whether active or past, I may have access to confidential, proprietary, and/or trade secret information belonging to RBAR, including but not limited to name, address, financial information, donors, fellow volunteers, and foster and adoptive families. I agree to maintain all information strictly confidential and will refrain from using it or sharing it, whether for my own purposes or from disclosing it to anyone outside of RBAR. I agree that, upon conclusion of my volunteering period, I will immediately return to RBAR all of its property, equipment, and documents, including electronically stored information. I understand unauthorized disclosure of confidential or privileged information is a serious violation of this policy and I will be subject to appropriate discipline, including removal/dismissal. By signing below, I express my understanding and intent to comply with this disclaimer, willingly and voluntarily.

Although every attempt will be made to ensure your safety, animals are by their nature, unpredictable in behaviour. Accordingly, as a volunteer, you agree to the following conditions:

I hereby agree to hold RBAR, its Directors, and Volunteers forever harmless for any damage to personal property or any injury whatsoever that I may suffer as a result of my volunteer activities with RBAR. This includes, but is not limited to, bites, scratches, communicable illnesses, diseases or pests contracted from any animal.
RBAR recommends that all volunteers have up to date vaccinations.
I am aware that as an RBAR volunteer, I am acting as a representative of the organization and agree to behave responsibly at all times by maintaining a professional demeanor and protecting the rescued animals from any harm while they are in my possession or care.
You must be 18 years or older to volunteer with the animals in care (some exceptions can be made depending on the situation/volunteer opportunity). Volunteers under 18 years of age require a parental or legal guardian to be in attendance and the guardian must also fill out a volunteer waiver. This waiver applies to any and all events and volunteer opportunities that I attend as an RBAR volunteer.
