Strengthening Relationships Impacted by Childhood Sexual Abuse
  • Your Information

Please provide information for each partner.
  • NOTE: Each partner must use a unique email address to receive event communications individually. Please use a different email address for Partner 2.

  • Tell us about your interest in this workshop

This will help us get to you know you better before we meet.
  • Participation in live work-throughs

  • This workshop will be dynamic and filled with conversation -- among yourselves, with us, with your partners. You'll be learning practices that will aid and sustain growth in your relationship. During the workshop we'll be working live with couples who are willing to bring in a difficult conversation and use the practices learned over our two days together. This might be a conversation you have tried to have unsuccessfully, a conversation that never seems to have a resolution, or a conversation that feels too hard to have at all. Whether you are watching or participating, this will be an invaluable opportunity.

  • Confirm this workshop is right for you

Not everyone is appropriate for this workshop. Please read below.
  • Couples who are experiencing active addiction issues, domestic violence, emotional abuse, or severe emotional distress in one or both partners are not appropriate attendees for this workshop.

  • Basic safety agreements

We each share the responsibility for making this workshop run smoothly and be a safe space. Please read below, and let's be especially thoughtful about the following:
    1. Confidentiality: Your story belongs to you. While you may share your own experiences outside this workshop, we trust one another to keep our personal information private and protected.
    2. Unique Experiences: Each of us brings unique experiences and wisdom to this space. We practice listening without offering advice, knowing that everyone's feelings and experiences are their own to process.
    3. Shared Learning Space: Every voice matters in this room. We create space for each person to share at their own pace and comfort level, whether through speaking or quiet presence.
    4. Respect: We show respect by giving our full attention when others are sharing. This means putting aside distractions like phones and side conversations, allowing each person to feel fully heard.
    5. Personal Perspectives: When sharing, we use "I statements" to express our own experiences and feelings. This helps us stay connected to our own truth while acknowledging that others may experience things differently.
  • Mandated reporting statement

As licensed therapists in the state of California, we are mandated reporters.
  • This means that while we hold confidentiality and emotional safety as core values, we are legally required to report certain disclosures — specifically if we become aware of:

    • Ongoing child abuse or neglect
    • Abuse of an elder or dependent adult
    • Immediate risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else

We don’t take this responsibility lightly. Our role is not to investigate, but to ensure safety and respond according to the law when necessary. If you ever have questions or concerns about what this means, we’re open to conversation and want to create space where you feel informed and supported.
