PROGRAM ELIGIBILITY

The TOSA Fellowship is open to Bexar County residents aged 16 to 24 who are committed to refining  their craft and expanding their orchestral experience. This opportunity is designed for high school,  college, and master’s students who wish to deepen their performance abilities in a collaborative setting.

Application and Selection Process

Audition Excerpts Available and Applications Open: January 24, 2025. 

Application Deadline: March 15, 2025. 

Acceptance Notifications: March 21, 2025.

The scheduling of private lessons and masterclasses will be finalized closer at a later date. Participants are expected to organize their daily commute to and from the venues. No additional travel or housing stipend will be provided.

Please upload your audition video as an unlisted video on YouTube. This ensures that only those with the link can view your video, keeping your submission private while still accessible to our review panel. Once your video is uploaded, copy the video link and paste it into the designated field in the application form. Please make sure the link works and allows us to view the video without restrictions. 

Combine your audition videos so that you are uploading one single video file.

Recording Guidelines

• The participant must be visible on screen at all times during the recording.
• Each excerpt must be recorded in a single, continuous take. You may cut between excerpts.
• Ensure your video has clear audio and visuals so we can accurately assess your performance.
• Record in a quiet space with minimal background noise.
• Verify the link by opening it in an incognito or private browser tab before submitting.

Note: If the video link is inaccessible or does not meet the specified guidelines, your application will be automatically discarded.

Your video will be treated as strictly confidential and will only be used for our internal records. Classical Music Institute will not share your recording with others without your prior consent.

Esto garantiza que solo aquellos que tengan el enlace puedan ver tu video, manteniendo tu presentación privada y accesible para nuestro panel de revisión. Low quality photos will not be accepted as these photos will be used in the program books.

All accepted TOSA Fellows will receive a $500 stipend to support their continued musical training and education. CMI can provide payment via either paper check or PayPal account. If you have a business PayPal account, please be aware that PayPal will deduct a commission from your payments. If you prefer to avoid this fee, please provide a personal PayPal account instead.
