USATF New York Youth Grant Club Application Form.
Our club grant program is open to all schools K-8 that are located within the USATF New York geographical area. This area includes the five boroughs of NYC, Sullivan, Orange and Dutchess counties. All applications are due by February 22nd, awardees will be notified by March 1st.
About USATF New York
The mission of USATF New York is to provide vision and leadership to sport of Athletics in the geographic area described above, and to support USATF's mission to drive competitive excellence and popular engagement in the sport.
About the Grant
USATF New York, in pursuit with its mission will be providing grant funding for 12 educational institutions in 2025 to launch a youth track & field team for students between the ages of 7-14. The grant will provide each school with: on year club registration fee ($150 value), one-year individual USATF memberships for two coaches ($130 value), required background check for two coaches ($44 value), USATF level 1 coaches education course for two coaches ($500 value), One-year membership for up to 10 student athletes ($350 value). In additional, all coaches will be able to participate in USATF coaches clinics free of charge and will receive general mentorship from USATF New York during year one of operation. The total value of each grant is estimated at a $1,600 and should be self-sustaining.

Additional resources.
In addition to the costs outlined above, schools or individual athletes will need to pay event entry fees. Entry fees can range between $6 (local development meets) to $15 per event (national championships). Some teams chose to purchase uniforms that can range from t-shirts to a running singlet. Clubs are expected to attend local youth events. Additional USATF memberships may also be required for additional coaches ($65 membership and $22 background check) and additional youth memberships past the 10 provided by the grant ($35 each).
