AllTrack is excited to be seeking a candidate with 3+ years of copyright administration experience at a music company. Prior PRO or music publishing experience is a big plus. This position will be responsible for day-to-day copyright management and administration duties associated with AllTrack’s growing base of independent artists, songwriters, composers, producers and publishers, ensuring AllTrack’s works are correctly registered and claimed. This requires a working knowledge of song-level metadata. In addition to working closely with our internal creator relations team, the candidate will interact with musicians, their professional services teams and copyright administrators at other music companies. The ideal candidate has a “roll your sleeves up” mentality and is detail-oriented, thorough, personable and persistent.

This position is based in Los Angeles, CA or Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities
- You will be a primary contact with AllTrack's songwriters and publishers, their professional services teams, and PROs and CMOs as it relates to obtaining, organizing and processing catalog ingestions, song registrations, and song modifications
- Organize and register songs into AllTrack’s proprietary copyright management system, which shall include working with various metadata fields such as song titles, performers, songwriters, IPIs, ISRCs, ISWCs, etc.
- Register and modify work registrations within global industrywide systems including CIS-Net, ISWC-Net and the IPI system, and via other registration methods including CWR
- Track catalog and live performance registrations at performing/mechanical/digital rights societies for timely and accurate completion
- Respond to and assist writers, publishers, producers, artists, labels, PROs, MROs, CMOs, and other industry organizations with various inquiries
- Research copyright inquiries and resolve disputes and counterclaims
- Work within the YouTube content management system to ensure proper work registrations and resolve conflicts
- Register works with the US Copyright Office
- Work on other projects assigned by other senior staff
Requirements
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to work thoroughly and accurately
- Familiarity with organizations like ASCAP, BMI, SESAC, MLC and metadata terms like IPI, ISRC, ISWC
- Experience reading and comprehending publishing, administration and purchase agreements
- Excellent research and electronic search skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Positive attitude, an eagerness to learn and a demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and meet tight deadlines
- Relationships with copyright administration departments at other organizations (preferred)
- Knowledge of sound recording side of copyrights (preferred)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music Business or related field (preferred)
- Access to a computer and a reliable internet connection
