  • Join us for an unforgettable WOMEN ONLY photography workshop in the stunning Palouse region of Washington State! Known for its rolling hills, dramatic landscapes, and ever-changing light, the Palouse offers breathtaking scenes for photographers of all levels.

    Workshop Highlights:

    Capture the iconic rolling wheat fields, rustic barns, and picturesque farmlands.
    Learn beginning to intermediate landscape photography techniques, including composition, lighting, and some post-processing. We will also do an introduction to nighttime photography! 


    You will receive one-on-one coaching from an experienced landscape photographer in a small group setting for personalized attention and guidance! Only 6 spots available!

    This workshop is intentionally limited to a small group of women to create an atmosphere that is 100% low-key, friendly, and totally encouraging!

    No Pressure, All Fun: Feel completely comfortable asking any question—big or small! We believe the best learning happens when you feel relaxed and supported.

    Itinerary (Subject to change due to weather, etc.):

    Day 1: Our workshop will start in Pullman in the afternoon

    Arrival & Introduction 

    We will go over basic photography settings, composition and gear.

    After dinner we will head out for golden light on the rolling hills!


    Day 2: Exploring the Heart of Palouse

    Sunrise with the rolling fields.

    Breakfast

    Visit to charming small towns, rustic barns, rolling hills and anything else that catches our fancy!


    Midday break and naps if needed!


    Sunset shoot 

    Dinner

    We will then head out for some nighttime photography!


    Day 3: Exploring More of the Palouse and the Snake River Area 

    Sunrise Session

    Breakfast

    Heading south to the Snake River, looking for wildlife, the amazing hill landscape and even wildflowers!

    Dinner

    Nighttime photography if desired!

     

     Day 4: Final Day

    Final Discussions

    For those that want to, we will head over to photograph the Palouse Falls!


    What’s Included:

    Guided photography sessions.


    Transportation during the workshop. (You must provide your own transportation to and from Pullman.)

    Hands-on coaching, teaching and help.

    Post-processing instruction and image critique (if you choose to participate) after the workshop via Zoom.

     

     What’s NOT Included:

     Transportation to and from Pullman.

    What to Bring:

    DSLR or mirrorless camera with a variety of lenses (wide-angle recommended).
    Tripod for stability during sunrise and sunset shots.

    Other photography gear like a circular polarizer and graduated neutral density filters are encouraged but not required.

    Extra batteries and a charger.

    Multiple memory cards.

    Lens cleaning cloths.


    Weather-appropriate clothing and comfortable shoes.

  • Photography Workshop Participation Agreement

    This Photography Workshop Participation Agreement (the "Agreement") is entered into between the undersigned participant ("Participant") and Lisa Mize Photography ("Organizer"). By signing this Agreement, the Participant agrees to the following terms and conditions:


    1. Assumption of Risk
    The Participant acknowledges and agrees that participation in the workshop involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

    Physical injury (e.g., slips, trips, falls).
    Damage to or loss of personal photography equipment.
    Environmental risks associated with outdoor locations.
    The Participant voluntarily assumes all such risks and agrees to participate at their own discretion.


    2. Release of Liability
    The Participant agrees to release, waive, and hold harmless Lisa Mize Photography, its employees, agents, and representatives from any and all claims, demands, or liabilities arising from:

    Personal injury.
    Loss, theft, or damage to personal property or photography equipment.
    Any other incident occurring during or related to the workshop.

    3. Insurance
    The Participant is responsible for securing personal health and equipment insurance. The Organizer does not provide coverage for injuries, illnesses, or damaged/lost equipment.


    4. Code of Conduct
    The Participant agrees to:

    Follow all instructions provided by the Organizer or workshop leaders.
    Respect the environment, property, and other participants.
    Exercise caution and prioritize safety at all times.

    5. Miscellaneous
    This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state of Washington.
    If any provision of this Agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
    By signing below, the Participant confirms they have read, understood, and agreed to the terms of this Agreement.

    6. Cancellation Policy

    Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the workshop date will receive a full refund.
    Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days prior to the workshop date will receive a 50% refund or you can transfer the amount to another workshop.
    Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the workshop date are non-refundable.


    The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the workshop due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, a full refund will be issued.
