  • Program-Specific Questions

The following questions will allow us to better support your goals in visiting the Howell Nature Center.
  • Are you participating in any Heifer International Global Village programs during your stay? (International Explorers, Global Tour, Cultural Connections, Global Gateway)*
  • Our Global Village is located a significant distance from our lodges and other program areas. The program area may be difficult to navigate for individuals who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids.

The amount of food provided during a Cultural Connections and Global Gateway program is representative of the typical portions in impoverished areas. However, this may be insufficient for students with certain medical needs.

During the Global Gateway Overnight program, students are typically not permitted to access the lodges, modern kitchen, or modern restrooms from 10:00 am the first day until 8:00 am the second day. This may be a concern for students with certain medical needs.

  • Are you participating in any teambuilding programs during your stay? (Adventure Play, Obstacle, Team Challenge, Professional Team Building)*
  • Are you participating in any high adventure programs during your stay? (Zip Line, Climbing Tower, High Ropes, Giant Swing, Leap of Faith, Crate Stack)*
