This poignant exhibition explores the intersection of mental health and art, focusing on the transformative and healing aspects of confronting mental illness. Against the backdrop of a nation grappling with rising mental health challenges, "Resilience" invites visitors to reflect on the personal and collective journeys of healing in a time marked by social change, uncertainty, and resilience.

Featuring works from a diverse group of artists, the exhibit encompasses paintings, sculptures, mixed media, photography and installations. Each piece offers a glimpse into the lived experiences of mental illness, capturing themes of struggle, hope, and renewal. Visitors will see powerful representations of emotions like anxiety, depression, and trauma, counterbalanced by expressions of strength, recovery, and community.

Culture Lab LIC does not take a commission on any art sold. As such, artists should price art to reflect no gallery commission.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance no later than than the end of day, March 31. All work must be hand delivered to the gallery. We cannot accept shipped works.

Delivery of Art: Instructions and details for artwork delivery will be included in the applicant's acceptance notification.

Culture Lab LIC is a 501(c)(3) formed to be the arts and culture umbrella for Western Queens. We present art of all genres while supporting New York artists and other nonprofits by providing space, resources and a sense of community. Operating out of a 12,000 square foot converted warehouse, Culture Lab LIC hosts two fine art galleries, an 80 seat theater, classroom space, an 18,000 square foot outdoor venue, and a robust residency program.
