I affirm that by accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I am electing to be part of a Christian organization and am in agreement with the Una Sola Voz Statement of Faith.

I affirm that accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial obligates me to prepare, manage, instruct and regularly and meaningfully communicate with the families registered with my classes. This communication may begin as early as shortly after registration, and includes confirmation of registration, a welcome letter in advance of the  deposit, and a class syllabus in advance of the first payment in June. Communication with families continues once classes begin in September through the end of classes in May, and includes providing parents with quarterly and year-end grades.

I understand that in accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I am doing so as an independent contractor and that I am responsible for my own taxes and invoicing for my classes. I understand that parents are individually contracting with me to provide instruction and as such will pay me directly for my services.

I understand that accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial obligates me to teach for the entire program year I agree to tutor. If an emergency situation arises and I am unable to tutor for the full year, I am responsible for securing a qualified replacement tutor and will provide payment to that tutor and/or make arrangements for families to pay the replacement tutor.

I understand that by accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I only have two days of in-class instruction available. To the best of my ability, I will plan personal appointments and family vacations around the Una Sola Voz academic calendar to minimize any absences on my part, and to maximize class instructional time.

I understand that accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I will arrive to classes on time and prepared for the day. If I am unable to teach my class(es) or will be absent due to vacationing, routine medical appointments or family emergencies, I will locate a suitable substitute to fill in while I am out. Additionally, in those instances, I will be responsible for reasonably compensating the substitute.

I understand that by accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I agree to abide by the tutorial's COVID-19 protocol which may include weekly COVID testing and/or indoor masking. The tutorial's COVID-19 protocol is based on guidelines set by the CDC, state, county, and host church.

I understand that by accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I will purchase my personal curriculum for my class(es) and will provide my families with a curriculum list that they are responsible for purchasing, and that is appropriate for the cultural, age level, and subject I am tutoring. I will also work to keep the cost of said curriculum and any copy/materials/lab fees manageable for my classes. I understand that the tutorial may set reasonable parameters on those fees, and I agree to stay within those parameters.

I understand that by accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I will participate in tutor onboarding and annual tutor training. In this, I will follow the guidelines for tutors as outlined in the tutor handbook. I also agree to undergo background screening, as well as training and recertification provided by Una Sola Voz.

I understand that accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I will follow Una Sola Voz Tutorial policies regarding conflict resolution with families registered to my class(es). I will work with the Leadership Team to resolve any issues arising from families if required.

As a member of the Una Sola Voz Tutor team, I understand that class time is precious and will be careful not disrupt the teaching time of other tutors. Additionally, I am responsible for managing my class time in a manner that I believe best meets the needs and objectives of the class.

As a member of the Una Sola Voz Tutor team, I understand that my role as a tutor is to introduce concepts on tutorial days, and parents are responsible for following up with their students at home on non-tutorial days. Any necessary differentiation takes place at home with parents, not in the group classroom, and I am not responsible for nor obligated to providing any additional instruction outside of class time.

I understand that accepting an opportunity to tutor a subject with Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial, I will ensure that the classroom I am assigned is clean and ready for any tutor sharing the room after me or to be used the next day.

Finally, Una Sola Voz Homeschool Tutorial is a cooperative tutorial, with all members working together to make the workload as light as possible for each of us individually. I understand that if I am not fulfilling my responsibilities as an active, participating tutor, this may impact my return the following year.
