Code of Conduct
As a volunteer with ROAR FLORIDA, I agree to:

Treat all residents, participants, staff, families, and fellow volunteers with dignity and respect.

Follow all instructions provided by ROAR FLORIDA staff and event leaders.
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with residents and participants.
Refrain from bullying, harassment, discrimination, threatening behavior, or inappropriate language.

Avoid sharing personal contact information with residents unless authorized.
Never provide residents with medications, alcohol, nicotine products, weapons, illegal substances, or other prohibited items.

Immediately report accidents, injuries, safety concerns, or inappropriate behavior to staff.

Transportation Policy

I understand that volunteers are not authorized to transport residents unless specifically approved by ROAR FLORIDA.

Communication Permission

Photo & Media Realease
I grant permission to ROAR FLORIDA and its representatives to photograph, video record, and/or audio record me during volunteer activities, events, or programs.

I authorize ROAR FLORIDA to use these photographs, videos, or recordings for lawful promotional purposes including, but not limited to:

Social media
Website content
Newsletters
Flyers and brochures
Marketing and fundraising materials
Educational or community outreach materials
I understand that:

My name may be used in connection with these materials unless otherwise requested in writing.

I will not receive compensation for the use of these photographs, videos, or recordings.

ROAR FLORIDA may use these materials in print, digital, and electronic formats now or in the future.

Confidentiality Agreement
As a volunteer with ROAR FLORIDA, I understand that I may see, hear, or learn personal or confidential information regarding residents, families, staff, volunteers, or organizational operations.

I agree to:

Respect the privacy and dignity of all residents and participants.
Keep confidential information private and not share it with others outside of authorized ROAR FLORIDA staff.

Not post resident information, photographs, videos, or personal details on social media or other public platforms without authorization.

Use discretion when discussing volunteer activities or resident interactions.

I understand that failure to maintain confidentiality may result in removal from volunteer activities or other appropriate action.

Volunteer Release, Waiver, & Acknowledgements
If under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign this waiver before participation in any activities at or for ROAR FLORIDA.

The undersigned Volunteer desires to participate in volunteer opportunities and related activities for ROAR FLORIDA (“Volunteer Activities”). In consideration for being permitted to participate, I, on behalf of myself, my family, estate, heirs, and assigns, release and agree not to sue ROAR FLORIDA, including its officers, directors, employees, subcontractors, sponsors, agents, affiliates, and volunteers (“the Organization”), from any present or future claims for property damage, personal injury, illness, or wrongful death arising from participation in Volunteer Activities, wherever, whenever, or however such claims may occur.

I understand and agree that:

Participation in Volunteer Activities may involve certain risks, including but not limited to accidents, illness, injury, property loss, or other unforeseen events, and I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation.

The Organization is not responsible for injury, illness, property damage, or loss arising from participation in Volunteer Activities, including those caused by ordinary negligence.

ROAR FLORIDA does not provide medical, health, disability, or accident insurance coverage for volunteers.

I certify that I am physically able to safely participate in Volunteer Activities and do not have any condition that would prevent participation.
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization from claims arising out of my participation in Volunteer Activities.

Any dispute arising under this Agreement shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Polk County, Florida in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida.

ROAR FLORIDA reserves the right to deny or discontinue volunteer participation at its discretion.

If any portion of this Agreement is found invalid, the remaining portions shall remain in full force and effect.

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understand the volunteer policies and agreements provided by ROAR FLORIDA.

I agree to follow all organizational policies, procedures, and staff directions while participating in volunteer activities.
