All library users must adhere to the following guidelines:
Borrowing

Museum staff and volunteers may check out books by following established check-out/check-in procedures during library hours.

Borrowed library items must be used within the museum’s campus. Borrowed library items should not be taken home or to off-site offices.

Reading rooms in Bannock and Kirkland are available as research spaces for staff and volunteers.

All library materials are subject to recall for use by other patrons.
Checkout

Museum staff and volunteers will use proper checkout and return procedures.

The checkout period for staff and volunteers is 3 months. Staff and volunteers may borrow up to 12 items.

The checkout period for research staff is one year, with unlimited renewals. Research staff may borrow an unlimited number of items.
General

Please do not re-shelve books and other library materials; return them to the designated return shelf.

Archival, rare, fragile, and special collection materials must be consulted in the Reading Room.

Refrain from making marks in books and library materials, and remove all notes and post-its before returning them.

Food and drinks, except beverages in lidded containers, are not allowed in the library.

Comply with copyright and intellectual property laws as defined by the United States Copyright Office.
