The Testing Center, located in room BT-203, is a 60-workstation computer lab.  We offer test proctoring accommodations in several exam modalities, including:

    • Disability related exam accommodations (as authorized by DSPS faculty)
    • On Campus Proctoring for Computer based exams (STEM, Nursing etc.)
    • On Campus Proctoring for Paper & pencil exams
    • Instructor Approved Make up exams
    • Distraction reduced environment (Access to noise cancelling headphones/ear plugs)
    • On Campus Proctoring for Course Challenge Exams

    Important Notes:

    1. The Test Proctoring Center does not offer Zoom proctoring accommodations.
    2. The TPC anticipates a large influx of students during week 8 and week 16 of the semester, as these weeks are the most common exam weeks.  To help manage the volume increase during these times, we require each participating faculty to sign up to help support us during at least two 2-hour time blocks (one for week 8 and another for week 16).  A sign-up form will be made available a couple weeks prior to these busy weeks.
  • Select all that apply to your exams.*
  • Please describe your exam plans in the textbox below.  Please provide information, such as:

    • The number of exams during the semester
    • The length of each exam
    • Type of flexibility offered to students (e.g. window of time when students can take their exam)

    Here are some examples:

Example 1: "I plan on scheduling FOUR exams during: Week 4, Week 8, Week 12, and Week 16.  I would like my students to be able to go to the TPC anytime during its hours of operations, and take their exams during each exam's window of availability: Thursday - Saturday. Each exam will be 2 hours long."

Example 2: "I plan on having all of my students take their final exam in the TPC, anytime within the operating hours during finals week"

Example 3:  "I would like my students to take their final exams in the TPC on a walk-in basis, anytime during the TPC's hours of operations, the week of Tuesday 10/10 (the class is a short-term 8 week course.)  The test itself is 2 hours long: the first hour will be for a computer-based exam (on Canvas) and second hour will be a paper/pencil exam."

Example 4:  "I would like all of my students to take their paper/pencil exam in the TPC during finals week.  I will print and deliver the tests the week prior to finals week."

  • Untimed Exam Pilot -- Would you be willing to participate in a pilot in which you provide untimed proctored exams?  These would be proctored during testing center hours, but the exam would be untimed.  The students would need to complete the exam in one day during the hours of operation, but would not be limited to a specific amount of time outside of business hours.*
