High Point Friends School, guided by the Quaker principle of honoring that of God in each of us, does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religious beliefs, ethnicity, national origin, sex, economic and cultural background, or disability (to the extent that reasonable accommodations are feasible) in the admission of students or summer campers.
I/we understand that High Point Friends School Summer Camp reserves the right to dismiss any camper if the camper's general conduct, attitude, or habitual actions or behaviors of his or her parent(s) or guardian(s) is contrary to the mission and values of the school, or, if the camp determines that it is not able to meet the needs of the child.
High Point Friends School Summer Camp cannot serve children who display chronic disruptive behaviors, verbal or physical, not limited to bully behaviors or behaviors that require constant attention from staff, inflicting physical or emotional harm on other children, abusing the staff, and/or disobeying the rules that guide behavior. If a child cannot adjust to the HPFS Summer Camp setting and behave appropriately, the child may be discharged.
I, the parent or guardian of the camper(s) named above, authorize the camp management to act as the agent of the parents in an emergency situation so that my child can receive medical attention and/or basic first aid for the health and welfare of my child. I agree that I, the parent or guardian, am responsible for the expenses involved if the services of a physician or hospital are required. By entering my name below, I understand and accept these guidelines. I also acknowledge and agree that my child will be participating in a summer camp that includes inherent risks. I understand that these risks exist despite any safety precautions that may be taken. I agree to release and hold harmless, High Point Friends School, its employees, agents and volunteers from any and all liability for injury, illness, damage or loss that may occur during or as a result of my child's participation in this summer camp. I acknowledge that my child's participation is voluntary, and I assume full responsibility for associated risks.
