Shelter for All is a county wide project that brings together themes of environment, art as well as looks at what “home” means to people. The central focus is native birds in Lackawanna County and we are seeking individuals, organizations, businesses, schools, etc. to paint decorative bird houses that will be displayed at the Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science and Art during the weekend of September 26.The bird houses are free and can be picked up at the Electric City Trolley Museum at 300 Cliff St. on the property of Steamtown Historic Site.     Like birds, people create their "home" in a variety of habitats.

    We want to know what home means to you!

     

  • We are seeking individuals, organizations, businesses, schools, etc. to paint decorative bird houses that will be displayed at the Everhart Museum of Natural History, Science and Art during the weekend of September 26th.

    We are initiating this project by asking you to design your own bird house representing your unique dwelling!

     

    4-inch wooden craft bird houses will be available to you upon request by completing this application!

    Paint, color, sticker, glitter, crayon your best home design!

    The bird houses are free and can be picked up at the

    Electric City Trolley Museum at 300 Cliff St. on the property of Steam town Historic Site.  Beginning Early March!
