Established by Manuel DaCosta of Lehighton, this scholarship provides financial assistance for higher education to students graduating from Lehighton Area School District.
The Manuel & Nancy L. DaCosta Education Scholarship is one-year, non-renewable scholarship of at least $1,000 awarded annually to a qualified graduating high school senior (or home-schooled student who has a state-recognized graduation certificate/diploma) residing in Lehighton, PA, who is seeking to further his or her education at a 4 or 2-year college or technical school with plans to study nursing or a related medical field, the arts, or a trade career.
Minimum qualifications for the scholarship include:
- Intent to pursue education related to one of the following areas: nursing or a related medical field, the arts, or a trade career
- Financial need will be considered in the selection process. A copy of the FAFSA Submission summary with the Student Aid Index should be submitted with your application.
