About the Ruff Riders

• Athletes from the age of 5 to 17 can participate in the program
• The spring/summer season begins in mid-March and ends in mid-July
• This is a traveling team and athletes will be expected to attend meets across the country
• The training program is demanding and will require an up-to-date physical and birth certificate
• There is a $85 non-refundable deposit due at the time of registration

WELCOME TO THE RUFF RIDERS!!

 Important Facts

💰COST💰

• $50 ------USATF/Ruffrider Registration: This non-refundable fee covers your USATF membership and insurance for the season and is DUE at the time of registration
• $35-----AAU Registration: This non-refundable fee covers your AAU membership and insurance for the season and is DUE at the time of registration
• $350 -------Coaching: This fee covers the coaching for the entire 2026 Season (due in full by May 31st)
• $100-$150 ---Uniform: Athletes will be required to purchase Ruff Riders uniforms. Some pieces are optional
• Meet fees: Each meet that your athlete attends has a registration fee. This fee varies from $6 to $50. You will be notified well in advance of when fees are due
• Travel Costs: Because this is a traveling team, some meets will require van rentals, hotel stays, plane tickets, food costs, etc. We do A LOT of fundraising to try and offset the cost but there will be some out-of-pocket expense. Again, we will let you know well in advance!

• A copy of the athlete's birth certificate (not needed for returning athletes)
• An up-to-date physical (after January 2026) for ALL athletes
• A completed registration form for ALL athletes

This agreement between the Sapphire- Ruff Riders Track Club (SRRTC) and aforementioned athlete(s) and parent for the purpose of providing a clear understanding of the duties and responsibilities of each entity, in order to insure smooth, efficient management of the club; a complete and harmonious season for parents, coaches and competitors; and provide quality training and participation for the athletes of the Sapphire- Ruff Riders Track Club.

Whereas, The 2026 track season will begin on or around March 2026 and end on or around July 2026 and;

Whereas, Sapphire - Ruff Riders Track Club will be participating in various Track and Field Meets throughout the season that require the maximum dedication and output from each of its athletes, and athletes, and their parents, and;

Whereas, There are entry fees that need to be paid for these various meets, travel expenses to attend the meets, and other expenses related to competition ranging from uniforms, to equipment, to insurance, and;

Whereas, I have received in writing a schedule of mandatory meets and practice schedules for the summer;

IN RECOGNITION OF THE ABOVE, I (WE) HERE-BY AGREE:

1. To pay the non-refundable registration fee to Ruff Riders Track Club within 10 days of registration (if late registration, fee will need to be paid by May 1st, 2026).

2. To make sure that my child will be at every Sapphire-Ruff Riders TC practice, scheduled or called during the season at the specified times

3. To make certain that my child will participate in every event requested by the coaching staff.

4. To pay all expenses assessed my child associated with travel and entry fees to attend meets

5. To make certain that my child abides by all Sapphire Ruff Rider Track Club rules now or hereafter established.

6. To make certain my child shows respect at all times to all coaches, staff, parents, and fellow athletes.

7. To provide all scheduling conflicts in writing or text before running season begins. To notify coaches and staff if athletes need to miss practice in a timely manner

8. To abide by the spirit and the letter of this agreement, understanding that it is drawn and executed for the welfare of the club and each young person involved; and further, understanding that the failure of any one individual to live up to this agreement can cause the failure of all to participate and also grounds for termination of Sapphire- Ruff Riders TC membership for the present year and future.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF I HAVE HERETO SET MY HAND

I give my parental consent to the coaches and officers of the Sapphire Ruff Rider Track Club to sign entry forms for my son/daughter to participate in athletic competitions. I understand that consent forms are available on www.USATF.ORG

My child has permission to participate in Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club track meets, travel, and other activities. I will assume all risks and hazards incidental to such participation, including transportation to and from activities. I waive, release, and agree not to hold the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club, sponsors, coaches, parents, and persons transporting my child to or from activities, responsible for all claims arising out of any injury to my child.

Throughout the season, the team will participate in several fundraisers to minimize the cost of the season. There will be team and individual fundraising opportunities. For the team fundraisers, each athlete is responsible for participating. If you do not participate, you are required to “buy-out” or incur the entire cost of the connected meet expenses for your athlete. Everyone is expected to participate in as many as possible.

I do hereby grant permission to the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club and its
employees or representatives, to take and use: photographs, videotape, and/or digital images of me/my child,
for use in promotional or educational materials pertinent to the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club
as follows:
--In printed publications or materials
--In electronic publications or presentations
--On the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club social media pages

I agree that my/my child’s identity may be revealed in descriptive text or commentary in connection with the image(s). I authorize the use of these images indefinitely without compensation to me/my child. All negatives, positives, prints, digital reproductions and videotape shall be the property of Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club.

If participant is under the age of 18,
I am the parent or legal guardian of the participant
who has signed above. I have read and I understand the provisions of this document, I consent to the participant taking part in the ACTIVITIES described above, and I fully enter into and agree to the above Assumption of Risk and Release from Liability.

HOLD HARMLESS/RELEASE FORM
In consideration of the Sapphire Ruff Riders Athletics, Inc. (hereinafter “Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club”) allowing  {athleteName}{2ndAthlete}{3rdAthlete} (hereinafter “child”) to participate and compete with the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club program. I intend to be legally bound for myself and I intend to legally
bind “child” by executing this agreement. I hereby waive or give up any right I or “child” may have to file a suit against the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club, its coaches, parent volunteers, or any other person, organization, or entity assisting the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club in its track and field program (hereinafter Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club, its coaches, parent volunteers, Monroe Comprehensive High School, Albany State University, or any other person, organization, or entity assisting the Sapphire Athletics, Inc. collectively “Sapphire Track Club” or Ruff Riders Track Club).

This agreement applies to any circumstance including but not limited to any way by participating with, for or against the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club or any organization that is affiliated with including the state of Georgia (or any subsidiary), Dougherty County, Monroe Comprehensive High School, DeKalb County, Tucker High School or any other organization, person, or entity. The purpose of this agreement is to assure the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club that in the event said “child” is injured or damaged as a result of his/her participation with the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club, I and/or “child” will not hold the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club responsible or liable and I promise on behalf of myself and “child” that I and/or “child” will not file suit against the Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club for any damages or injuries to “child”.
Also, I understand my child will not be covered by insurance provided by Sapphire Ruff Riders Track Club and that I either have my own major Medical Insurance Policy or, if not: I will cover the expenses of any injury. SAPPHIRE TRACK CLUB = SAPPHIRE-RUFF RIDERS TC

• Pay $85 Registration Fees to Coach Jones via cash or cashapp ($CoachPaulJones)

Failure to provide the aforementioned will result in termination of contract
