    The Young Philatelic Leaders Fellowship (YPLF) is a year-long program which connects stamp collectors between the ages of 16 and 24 with knowledgeable philatelic leaders and unique learning experiences. Fellows are connected with a mentor, receive a free one-year APS membership, attend the Great American Stamp Show, visit the Smithsonian National Postal Museum, present a project on a philatelic topic of their choosing, and more!

  • The YPLF Program is only available to individuals who will be ages 16 - 24 on August 1, 2026. If you would like to learn more about other opportunities with the American Philatelic Society, please email education@stamps.org, or submit your name and email here.

  • Parent/Guardian

  • Applicants under the age 18 who are selected as a fellows must submit a signed Parent/Guardian Agreement before the start of the program. The Parent/Guardian Agreement will be sent with acceptance notices.

  • REFERENCES

  • Applicants must have 2 references - one reference from an educator or academic advisor and another from an APS member or philatelist.

    You are encouraged to share the link below with your references. We will also send them the link in an email when you submit your application. Your reference forms must be received by February 1, 2025.
