Empowering Young Leaders: Climate Resilience and Inclusive Action Bootcamp

Background: Convened by Youth for Climate Morocco (Y4CM) and our Italian partner CeSPI, the "Empowering young Leaders: Climate Resilience and Inclusive Action Bootcamp" aims to equip Moroccan youth and women with the tools and knowledge necessary to lead inclusive and effective climate action initiatives. Recognizing these groups' unique vulnerabilities and untapped potential, the bootcamp seeks to enhance their capacity for leadership in the climate resilience sector. This program is set against Morocco’s progressive climate policies and leadership in the MENA region’s sustainability efforts. The bootcamp will take place over two days (21-23rd February 2025) in Rabat, Morocco.

The Bootcamp Focus: The program is designed around the themes of climate science, gender dynamics, leadership development, and multi-stakeholder collaboration. It aligns with Morocco’s national gender policy, the outcomes of COP29, and the broader global commitments to sustainable development goals. These elements are crucial as Morocco strides toward integrating climate resilience into its development strategies and empowering marginalized communities. Youth for Climate Morocco (Y4CM) will support a diverse group of participants, emphasizing inclusivity and representation from all targeted regions.

The selection of participants will be made by Y4CM with the support of our partner, ensuring a balance in gender and geographic representation. Preference will be given to applicants with significant potential but limited access to similar opportunities.

Please note that the bootcamp aims to foster new engagements and, as such, might prioritize individuals with less exposure to similar types of training.
