  • Kenneth 'Cutter' Weaver Memorial Scholarship

  • Established by Tracy and Chase Weaver to honor their late husband and father, the Kenneth ‘Cutter’ Weaver Memorial Scholarship Fund will provide financial assistance for higher education to students in memory of its namesake.

Kenneth ‘Cutter’ Weaver was a Panther Valley High school graduate, class of 1981, where he excelled on the football field his senior year, accumulating more than 100 yards of total offense, was Schuylkill League 1st team offense and defense, and an all-state honorable mention. There were many articles and countless people who said he was the toughest high school football player they had ever seen. He played through a separated shoulder and other injuries, demonstrating his grit and determination.

Cutter enjoyed fishing, golf, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching Mets games or any sporting event with his son Chase and just enjoyed spending time with him. He was an ardent Kansas City Chiefs fan and attended a number of games with Chase and Tracy. Cutter cherished his role as "Dad" and took immense pride in attending Chase’s sporting events and watching him become a terrific young man.

The Kenneth ‘Cutter’ Weaver Memorial Scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable scholarship of at least $500 awarded annually to two qualified high school seniors graduating from Panther Valley School District.  One award will go to a member of the high school football team, and one award will go to a member of the boys’ basketball team.

    • The applicant should be a team player who also has qualities to stand out as a team leader, especially on the field or court.
