Scholarship Application Form

Scholarship Submission Guidelines
Please review and follow the guidelines below. If you are unsure about a step, please email contact below to ensure your application is accepted.

If completing the application online, you may save at the end of each section and resume later.  Register your account before exiting to get an email with your return link OR click on "Get Draft Link" to copy your return link and paste it where you will have it when you are ready to return.  You may upload signature pages, letter of recommendation, transcripts, and test scores to the online application and complete everything online.  You may also email the application with attachments to the NTRP Scholarship Board Members email listed below.

1) Fill out Section 1 and sign; then give to your counselor to complete his/her
section with a signature. Please make sure your GPA is on a 4.0 scale ONLY.  Transcripts or test score copies requested below in Section 5.

2) Complete Section 2: You can list hours to be completed by May 2025.

3) Section 3 will be your Essay or Video addressing the following:

Tell us about your experiences associated with your relocation into the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Please feel free to discuss your family background, challenges encountered with the relocation, and successes achieved. We would also appreciate any advice you would give to another teenager preparing to relocate (as you did)! The winners may be asked to present their essays or play their videos at NTRP’s April meeting.

4) Include one Letter of Recommendation on official letterhead by a school official (counselor,
teacher, coach, etc.) from your CURRENT School

5) Attach a copy of your Unofficial Transcript and ACT/SAT score copies from Section 1.

6) Include Signed Scholarship Release Waiver (students under 18 must have a parent signature as well)

PLEASE REVIEW YOUR SUBMISSION TO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE ALL 6 SECTIONS LISTED ABOVE BEFORE SENDING TO NTRP.

YOUR SUBMISSION MUST BE COMPLETED ONLINE OR EMAILED. 

IF EMAIL, PLEASE USE THE FOLLOWING FORMAT:
ONLY ADOBE PDF OR MICROSOFT WORD FILES WILL BE ACCEPTED. If you need help scanning this to a pdf file and emailing it, you can visit Office Depot, Staples, etc. where for a small fee they can assist you (bring your documents on a flash drive or in email that you can forward to the store).

We will announce the winners on April 11th.  If selected as a winner, your attendance at our awards luncheon to be held on Tuesday, April 22nd would be greatly appreciated.  Our organization supports corporate relocation and the families involved and hearing from the scholarship winners is a highlight that our members look forward to each year.

Please include a copy of transcripts/test scores with the application and kindly complete the following:

 

 

Extra-Curricular Activities: List the activities or organizations with which you have been involved and your position(s) for the past four years. List information in order of year. Also, include school related clubs, Interscholastic Athletics, etc.

Community Service (Unpaid): List the organization(s) where you have served and activities performed for the past four years only.

Work Experience (paid): List any recent employer(s) and job responsibilities held (for the past four years only).  You may include individual experience such as babysitting, lawn maintenance, etc.

Awards & Honors: List awards and honors received for the past four years only.

Financial Hardships
List any financial hardships or unusual circumstances (including but not limited to medical or cost of other children currently attending college) in your household that you feel should be considered when determining your financial need.

Scholarships/Financial Aid for which you have applied for or which you know you will receive:
List below the name(s) and amount(s) of each scholarship, grant, or financial aid (including from state or Federal government) for which you have already applied or for which you are planning to apply for as well as any you know you will receive.

Tell us about your experiences in a 1,500 word essay or a 2-3 minute video associated with your relocation into the North Texas area. Please feel free to discuss your family background, challenges encountered with the relocation, and successes achieved. We would also appreciate any advice you would give to another teenager preparing to relocate during their high school years.

SECTION 4:  Letter of Recommendation on official letterhead by a school official (counselor, teacher, coach, etc.) from your CURRENT SCHOOL to be attached for Section 4.

SECTION 5:  Unofficial Transcript and copies of ACT/SAT test scores if applicable to be attached for Section 5.  (These may have been provided by your counselor in Section 1.)

INDIVIDUAL CONSENT AGREEMENT
This will be Section 6 of your Application
I, {fullName122}, the undersigned, hereby authorize the North Texas
Relocation Professionals (NTRP) and its representatives, successors, and assigned, to use my name, photo, and written essay (or portions thereof) about my relocation (that accompanied my NTRP 2025 scholarship application) for publication.
I represent and warrant that the attached statement represents my true opinion. I further represent that I am of legal age (18 and older) and have every right to grant these rights or will have a parent/legal guardian sign if I am under 18 years of age at the time of signature.

Thank you for applying with the North Texas Relocation Professionals for a college scholarship for area high school seniors who were relocated into North Texas during their high school years due to a family work relocation.  You will receive a copy of your submitted application in your email.  If you would like to update your completed application prior to the deadline, you may update it online and we will use the most recent version.
