Milwaukee Horror Con Volunteer Expectations
As a volunteer, you play a vital role in making Milwaukee Horror Con a success!
We expect all volunteers to:
*Arrive at least five minutes early for your scheduled shifts.
*Dress appropriately and be ready to work with a positive and courteous attitude at all times.
*Be prepared to work hard while also enjoying everything the show has to offer.
*Treat fellow volunteers, staff, guests, and attendees with respect and professionalism.
*While there’s plenty of work to do, you’ll also have opportunities to make new connections and enjoy the convention.
Volunteer Commitment
*Shifts typically run 6 to 8 hours each.
*A minimum of 2 shifts is required for all volunteers.

*Free mini MHC poster w/ guests autographs on sunday (must work all 3 days)

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: General Volunteer
General Volunteers work any position around the convention. Can include Ticketing, Door Security, assisting in Celeb Area, or other assignments. If approved, must attend a pre-event Safety & Informational meeting.
Position Descriptions:
Security
You will be responsible for checking wristbands and vendor badges to ensure everyone is wearing either a badge or a wristband. If someone is missing a wristband you will direct them to the box office. As part of the role you will also be responsible for keeping track of the people entering and exiting each room in order to ensure we don’t go over capacity in any room.
Box Office:
You will be responsible for taking tickets and issuing the correct wristband & lanyards as well as making change for door sales.
Celebrity Assistant:
This requires you to be available for all 3 days of the convention. Help organize line. Take photos. Work the guest table. Runner.
Floater or Spare:
We require floaters in case someone doesn’t show up for the shift or if we need help in a certain area. If not busy you will be assisting in various tasks during your shift
