Hello Goodfellow Fund Supporters!

On behalf of the The Goodfellow Fund we are honored that you have lent us your time and talents to help families in need by volunteering a few hours a week during the holiday season. Planning is already underway for the 2025 Goodfellow Fund campaign. The Goodfellow Fund is celebrating more than one hundred years’ service to needy Tarrant County school children by providing them a $100 gift certificate for shoes and clothing for the holiday season.

We are hoping that we can count on you to be a part of our program again this year.

I, the undersigned, am the volunteer listed. I, my heirs and assigns, do hereby WAIVE AND RELEASE any and all claims against Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. and the Goodfellow Fund as well as both entities’ officers, agents, and employees for injuries or damages to me or my property that may arise from my participation as a volunteer with the Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. 

Liability

I further release and forever discharge Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. and the Goodfellow Fund as well as both entities’ officers, agents, and employees from any and all claims, actions, causes of action, whether real or asserted, of every kind or character, arising out of my participation as a volunteer with the Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. 

Background Check

I understand that a routine background check may be conducted for each Volunteer. The Completion of a satisfactory background check is required for each Goodfellow Fund Volunteer. 

Accidental or Property

In addition, I, the undersigned, covenant and agree to and do hereby indemnify, hold harmless, and defend, at my own expense, Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. and the Goodfellow Fund as well as both entities’ officers, agents, and employees from and against any and all claims or suits for property loss or damage and/or personal injury, including death, to any and all persons, including but not limited to myself, of whatsoever kind or character, whether real or asserted, arising out of my participation as a volunteer with the Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. in year date signed, Whether Or Not Caused, In Whole Or In Part, By The Alleged Negligence Of The Officers, Agents, Or Employees Of Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. / The Goodfellow Fund. 

Video/Photography Release

I hereby grant Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. and the Goodfellow Fund permission to use, edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute photographs, videotapes, or other recordings or visual likenesses of me that are made during the course of volunteering to assist with the Star-Telegram Charities, Inc. campaign in any and all of their publications or broadcasts, including but not limited to website entries, without payment or any other consideration. 

Understanding of Waiver

I have read this Waiver, Release and Indemnification and fully understand its terms, provisions and conditions. I have not been influenced to any extent whatsoever by any representations or statements not contained within this agreement.
