NOTE ABOUT BUDDY REQUESTS:  We cannot guarantee all buddy requests. Due to bunk limits in each cabin, large groups might be spilt between 2 or more cabins. We try our best to make sure every camper has at least one buddy in their cabin. 

Cabins consist of kids in either 3rd-6th grade OR 7th -9th grade. We cannot mix the two age groups in cabins. So a 6th grader cannot be in a cabin with a 7th grader. 

REFUND POLICY

We are a nonprofit/church camp and we keep costs as low as possible. If we have already begun to spend money for Kamp, we are not able to refund you those funds in the event you cancel.

• If you cancel prior to attending Kamp, you may request a pro-rated refund. The amount of refund will depend on the date of cancellation and the amount of money Redeemer Summer Kamp has already expended in anticipation of your child's attendance at Kamp.
• No refund may be available for cancellations in the 30 days before Kamp starts.
• If your child has to be sent home from Kamp early due to sickness or injury a pro-rated refund may be requested.
• If you child is sent home early from Kamp due to disruptive behavior, no refunds will be given.
• No matter the reason for the refund, If you pay with credit card NO REFUNDS ARE GIVEN FOR THE CREDIT CARD FEES PORTION OF THE PAYMENT

TRANSPORTATION RELEASE

I understand that transportation to and from Kamp IS NOT provided. I must drop my child off at Kamp on Sunday August 3, 2025 and pick my child up from Kamp on Saturday August 9, 2025. In the event I do not pick my child up from Kamp during the designated check-out time, I hereby give permission for my child to be driven from Camp Michawana back to Lutheran Church of the Redeemer by a Redeemer Kamp staff member aged 18 or older.

I further understand that my child may be released ONLY to the people designated below.  I understand picture identification will be required at the time of pick up. Campers WILL NOT be released to anyone who has not been designated in writing by the parent/guardian. (Release to siblings must also be authorized and listed below)

MEDIA RELEASE

I hereby give my permission for my child's picture/likeness to be used in advertising and promotional materials including but not limited to brochures, flyers, and our web site. We will not disclose the names of any of the campers when pictures are posted or used on our website.

Waiver and Release of Liability

In consideration of the opportunity for my child to participate in Redeemer Summer Kamp (Event), I hereby agree to the following Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability (Agreement):

1. Waiver and Release of Liability: I understand that residential camps and other recreational activities carry with them significant risks. I understand that there are certain dangers, hazards, and risks inherent in participation in Redeemer Summer Kamp. Accordingly, I agree to the following:

1. I understand and confirm that my minor child’s participation in the Event is voluntary.
2. I understand and acknowledge that recreational activities have inherent risks, which may result in injury or death. I acknowledge that an inherent risk of recreational activities includes risk of injury and loss, both to person and property as well as the possibility of infection of COVID-19 or other communicable disease which could result in minimal injury, serious injury and/or result in death. There may be other risks of participation in
   the program, some of which may not be known or reasonably foreseeable at this time. I further understand that some of the premises, facility and equipment used in connection with the event may not be owned, maintained or controlled by Redeemer Summer Kamp but rather by the premises owner (Camp Michawana, Inc.). I understand that the risk of
   injury, permanent disability, death, or exposure to/infection of a communicable disease (including by COVID-19) at Redeemer Summer Kamp may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of myself and others, including, but not limited to, the Redeemer Summer Kamp employees, volunteers, and program participants and their
   families.
3. I acknowledge the contagious nature of COVID-19 and voluntarily assume the risk that my minor child may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 by participation; and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, and death. Accordingly, I agree to abide by any policies and procedures established by Redeemer Summer Kamp for participation in the Event, including policies and safety
   measures intended to mitigate exposure to COVID-19
4. I hereby release Lutheran Church of the Redeemer/Redeemer Summer Kamp, its employees, agents, volunteers, and representatives, from liability for injury or death that results from the inherent risks of the recreational activities, including infection by COVID-19 or other communicable disease.
5. I voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to my minor child (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that my minor child may experience or incur in connection with his or her participation at Redeemer Summer Kamp. On my child’s behalf, I hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold
   harmless Lutheran Church of the Redeemer/Redeemer Summer Kamp, its employees, agents, volunteers, and representatives, of and from the claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto. I understand and agree that this release includes any claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer/Redeemer Summer
   Kamp, its employees, agents, volunteers, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 or other communicable disease infection occurs before, during, or after participation at Redeemer Summer Kamp.
6. This Agreement shall be binding on the estate, heirs, executors, administrators, successors, and assigns, as well as any other party asserting a claim on my child’s behalf or on behalf of the estate.

2. General Provisions:

1. I hereby expressly agree that (1) this Agreement shall be governed and construed according to the laws of the state of Michigan without regard to its conflict of laws provisions and (2) any action or proceeding concerning any claim or the meaning or effect of any provision of the Agreement shall be conducted only in the courts of the State of Michigan sitting in Oakland
   County and any applicable Michigan appellate court, and that for such purposes, I expressly submit to the jurisdiction of such courts.
2. This Agreement contains the entire understanding between and among the parties concerning liability relating to participation in Redeemer Summer Kamp and relating to the possibility of infection by Coronavirus/COVID-19 or other communicable disease. No waiver, modification, or amendment of any of the terms of this Agreement shall be effective unless made in writing and signed by the party to be charged.
3.  I hereby expressly agree that if any portion of this Agreement is held invalid, the balance of the Agreement shall nonetheless continue in full legal force and effect.   

I warrant that, on my child’s behalf, I have read and understand that this Agreement involves my waiver and release of significant rights and my assumption of significant indemnification responsibilities in participating in the Event. 

AVAILABLE PROGRAMS:

• Kid Kamp: 3rd-6th Grade  (FULL WEEK)
• Kat Kamp: 7th-9th Grade (FULL WEEK)
• Explorers: 3rd & 4th Grade (HALF WEEK) 

PROGRAM COSTS:

• $325.00 Explorer (half week option) 
• $550.00 full price registration for Kid or Kat Kamp
• $40.00 Ropes Course (7th-9th Grade Only - must be able to reach 60" off the ground with arms fully extended)

DISCOUNTS:

• Early Bird Price: $525.00 for Kid or Kat Kamp. MUST BE PAID IN FULL BY MAY 15th
• Cash/Check: Deduct $10.00 off kid or kat kamp cost if you pay by check or cash directly to Redeemer (all payments made via paypal or credit card are not eligible for this discount.)
• NO DISCOUNTS available for the explorer half week option

REGISTRATIONS AFTER JULY 1st: For all registrations made on or after July 1st, payments must be made online through paypal at the time of registration. Please select pay by paypal below and follow the instructions to complete the check out. (You do not need a paypal account to proceed). 

EXPLORER PROGRAM:

If you are interested in registering a 3rd or 4th grader for the explorer (half week option). Do not complete this form. Rather fill out the EXPLORER WAITLIST FORM.

Ropes Course is for 7th-9th Grade ONLY.  Due to a harness safety system used for the Ropes Course, kids must be able to reach 60" Off the ground with their arms extended above their head.  Campers not able to reach 60" will not be allowed to do the ropes course. 

For this reason, the Ropes Course is only available this year to campers 7th grade - 9th grade who meet the height requirements. 

Campers who register for the ropes course will be assigned to complete the course one afternoon at Kamp. They will miss  some schedule Kamp activities while particpating in the ropes course. If a camper decides at any point to NOT partipcate in the ropes course, no refunds are given. So please check with your child before signing them up! 

Cost for the Ropes Course is $40.00 and must be included with the registration payment. If you do not include the payment your child will not be registered for the ropes course.
