What is the program, and are there any hidden catches?
AutoSave is a smart energy service that automatically switches customers between Think Energy and their utility’s Price to Compare — whichever offers the lower rate. There are no hidden catches or fees associated with signing up.
How much can I save each month? What are the average yearly savings?
Customers can save with autosave up to 10% monthly on electricity supply. On average, this amounts to $150–$350 in annual savings.
Can I apply for these savings if I’m already enrolled in a solar farm or receiving solar discounts?
Yes! You can enroll in both programs and save up to 30% monthly.
What are the terms of participation? Can I cancel? How does billing work?
You can cancel at any time with no fees or penalties. The discount is applied directly to your utility bill, Think Energy will appear as your electricity supplier.
Is AutoSave available for residential or commercial customers?
Both residential and commercial customers can enroll.
Is there a fee to enroll in AutoSave?
No. Enrollment is completely free.
Is there a customer portal?
No portal is required. You’ll receive email notifications whenever your energy supplier changes.
How long does it take for the supply switch to take effect?
It typically takes 1–2 billing cycles for changes to be reflected on your bill.
Who manages this program, and are there additional savings opportunities?
This program is supported by government incentives. We are independent energy brokers working in partnership with utility companies to help customers save. Additional savings programs, including Community Solar, are available in many states.
Will I ever pay more than the utility rate?
No. You will never pay more than your current utility rate.
Why do you need such personal information like the last 4 digits of my social security number and date of birth?
