The former Aztec Doberman Pinscher Club generously donated its remaining funds to the DPCA before disbanding. These funds were specifically designated to support Chapter Clubs. To ensure fair and effective distribution, a committee was formed to establish guidelines and a process for allocating these resources.
Existing Chapter Clubs as well as a new start up club may apply for a one-time boost with a maximum of $2500 to their general fund.
Clubs must have $5000 or less in their treasury with the following additional criteria/restrictions:
Clubs with at least $4000 but less than $5000 will receive $1000
Clubs with at least $3000 but less than $4000 will receive $1500
Clubs with at least $2000 but less than $3000 will receive $2000
Clubs with less than $2000 will receive $2500
Clubs may apply separately for funds to use for a special program if they have less than $5000 in the treasury (seminars for example) with a maximum allowance of $1000. Special program funds may be applied for once every other year.
Clubs may apply for assistance to put on a WAE if they have less than $5000 in their treasury with the WAE maximum being $500. Grants for the WAE may be applied for once every three years.
Documentation will be required for two months of bank balance verification and clubs must provide plans for additional fundraising. A report at the end of the year is required on how the money was used to benefit the club.
