Spare Parts, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is hosting an OPEN DONATION DAY for arts and crafts supplies, tools, materials, and more on June 7th, 2025, at the San Antonio Garden Center. If you would like to make a donation, please register and select a drop off time-slot. By registering in advance, your donation drop-off will be prioritized. Walk-ins will also be accepted on June 7th, but there may be a longer wait time. There is no size limit to your donation, we simply ask that all items are clean and free of dirt, rust, and mold.
ITEMS WE ARE ACCEPTING for OPEN DONATION DAY
Art Supplies: Paints, brushes, blank canvas, polymer clay, pastels, watercolor, printmaking supplies, photography equipment, etc.
School and Office Supplies: Pens, markers, pencils, folders, notebooks, paper clips, binder clips, poster board, sticky notes, etc.
Fiber Arts Materials: Fabric, sewing notions, buttons, sewing machines, yarn, crochet hooks, knitting needles, embroidery floss, cross stitch, needlepoint, etc.
Books and Paper Crafts: How-to and about the artist books, Stamps, Scrapbooking paper, scrapbooking binders, etc.
Jewelry and beads: Fashion jewelry, beads, jewelry making tools and supplies, etc.
Think of things used in the creation of textile, decorative, paper, functional, and fashion crafts.
Please help us by pre-sorting your donation. We will not accept "junk drawer" boxes of items. Please bag or contain small like items together such as buttons and beads.

- Magazines
- GLASS JARS, Glass vases, glass sheets, glass frames
- GLITTER or CONFETTI even if contained.
- Any aerosols, flammable liquids, hazardous materials
- Styrofoam
- Party supplies or holiday decor items
- Delicate, vintage, or fragile trinkets
- Kids toys
- Clothing
- Kitchen tools and appliances
Anything that is soiled, dirty, or moldy will be discarded. If you have any questions about specific or oversized items you wish to donate, please email hello@spsatx.org
Please select one of the time slots to register. You will receive a friendly reminder about the event date/time and location via text and email. We ask that you show up during your given time slot so that we can ensure a smooth and speedy donation process.
