  • 5. Question: What is the condition for asking and receiving?

    (James 1:6)

    Answer:

  • 7. Question: What did Jesus say to him?

    (Matthew 14:31)

  • Peter was rebuked for not simply accepting the Word of God as truth. Many times, people think that they can just go through their normal life without the word of God. If you don't study the word, if you don't confess the word, if you don't meditate on the word, how is it going to change you? The whole reason of doing a bible study is for you to change, allow the Word of God to change you.

Hebrews 4:12 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."  [End of Quote]

    8. Question: What then, should our attitude be toward God's Word?

    (1 John 5:9)

  • Therefore, true faith is not striving and straining trying to believe, but it is merely accepting God's Word as truth, just (and even more) as we would accept the word of a friend.

    9. Question: What does Jesus say you have to do to be saved?

    (Romans 10:9-11)
