Helping Outside Animals
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Helping Outside Animals! We are a foster-based animal rescue run by volunteers in Connecticut. We feed, trap, foster, transport, and provide medical care for strays in need, then get them into safe and loving homes. We work with several reputable rescues and focus on areas where help is needed most. We do not operate out of a facility.

These questions are designed to help us identify specific volunteer opportunities that will best fit with your interests, skills, and availability.

Helping Outside Animals (HOA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (tax ID# 41-3516812), operates as a community-driven rescue dedicated to assisting vulnerable and at-risk animals in Connecticut. HOA focuses on advocacy, fostering, and coordinating rescue efforts, while supporting spay/neuter initiatives and connecting animals with safe placements and long-term homes.

Many of our volunteer assignments can be completed in a short amount of time (~0.5 to 2 hours).
