Children MUST be able to remain with a small group of peers (10-12 children) with a ratio of 3 adults. This group is 100% outdoors. Shelters will be available for rain/inclement weather. In extreme weather conditions, Forestways OT reserves the right to cancel the group or offer a rescheduled date. Refunds are not available due to weather.

  • Policies and Waivers

(This is the boring part folks....all the policies and waivers.  Hang in there!  You're almost done with the registration!) :)
  • Attendance & Pick-up Policy

Our groups rely on the consistent attendance of all group members to have a fun and therapeutic experience together. But we know children sometimes get sick. Due to the short duration of this group, reimbursement for absences is not possible. Late pick-ups in excess of 5 minutes after group ending time will be charged $2/minute.

  • Behavior Policy

Children who attend our enrichment groups are participating in a small-group setting. We use positive discipline and natural consequences, as well as offering sensory strategies when helping children learn to regulate their behaviors. In order for all children in the group to receive therapeutic benefit, we require children in our groups to maintain expected behaviors that do not significantly detract from the experience of other children in the group. Children who attend our groups must be able to stay with the group, follow directions (most of the time!), and have basic safety awareness to be in nature settings with an adult nearby but NOT always within arm’s reach. We operate with approximately 1 adult to every 4 children for enrichment groups. We are not staffed to provide 1:1 support for children who have significant behaviors that consistently require the full attention of a staff member. If a child has disruptive behaviors that impact the participation of the other children in the group, we will discuss this with the parent to determine if a group model is right for the child at this time. After attempts to modify and support a child's behavioral needs in the group, should it be decided that our groups are not a good fit for the child, refunds will not be given for remaining days.
