The Scholars of Color Fellowship invites applications for its 2025 – 2026 academic year cohort. The mentorship program pairs scholars who have made or will make contributions to Jewish Studies scholarship with experienced mentors, while also building a community among the cohort. The program is focused on finding racialized scholars who are underrepresented in the academy and/or directly impacted by racialization due to their lived experience as a person of color. Mentorship, networking, and professional development sessions will take place on Zoom. Attendance at the 57th Annual Conference, taking place in Washington, DC from December 14 – 16, 2025, is required. The AJS will cover AJS membership fees and conference registration costs for the fellows.
