  • 2026 Bayway Complex Community Advisory Panel (CAP) Scholarship Application

  • The CAP Scholarship is awarded annually to high school seniors in an amount up to $2,000 each. Applications must be submitted by April 17, 2026.

    Scholarship Overview

    Scholarship will be awarded to applicants in the following areas: Industrial, Process Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, i.e., Chemical, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Environmental.  Each award will be a $2,000 scholarship; payable directly to the institution applicant is attending only upon the furnishing of proof of enrollment at said college. Recipients must be accepted by an accredited institution of higher learning (college, university, career, or vocational school) and be enrolled in Industrial, Process Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering curriculum (non-medical). Scholarship recipients must provide proof of enrollment by September 1, 2026 or the CAP Scholarship Committee reserves the right to reallocate the funds. Maximum award is $2,000.

    To be eligible, the applicant must:

    • High School seniors living in Linden, Elizabeth, Rahway, or Staten Island attending accredited High Schools (public, private, or parochial).
    • Diploma Requirements: The applicant must be a bona fide student of a private, parochial, or public school eligible to receive a high school diploma at the completion of the senior year prior to September 1, 2026, of the effective academic school year.

    • Aspirations: The student must have a definite plan to pursue a post-high school program of education or training on a full-time basis in Industrial, Process Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering curriculum.

    • Character: The applicant must have consistent attendance, good citizenship traits, and be of sound moral character.

    SELECTION CRITERIA

    Applicants will be judged on the basis of academic and continued or improved achievement, leadership activities, school-related extracurricular activities, community activities, financial need, and their original personal essay.

    All information will be kept confidential within the Scholarship Committee.
