    Jake Whiting Memorial Scholarship

The Jake Whiting Memorial Scholarship celebrates the life and legacy of Jacob Daniel Whiting, a talented plumbing apprentice who tragically passed away in a car accident in 2023. Even at 25, Jake was thriving in his career, having purchased a home and dreaming of owning his own business. His dedication to the trades and his strong work ethic began at a young age through various jobs in Heber Valley. Raised in Heber City, Utah, Jake loved the outdoors, music, and home improvement projects. This scholarship is designed to support students who share Jake's enthusiasm for the trades and commitment to hard work. We enthusiastically encourage high school or adult MTECH Plumbing Apprentice students, to apply and discover a rewarding career in the plumbing field, just as Jake did.
