  • What is Diversion? Diversion works with families that are either literally homeless (currently residing in a shelter or a public or private place not meant for human habitation, such as a vehicle), or at imminent risk of homelessness (will be literally homeless in the next 14 days).

If you are currently housed and need rental assistance unfortunately Diversion is not able to help with rental assistance or eviction prevention. Please seek assistance through your Township Trustee offices or other local community centers.

Families will receive a call within 5 business days. If you need immediate emergency shelter, please call 211 or 911.

Unfortunately, at this time Diversion is only able to assist families with minor children in the household. Adult only households without minor children should call 211 for information about Horizon House and other local shelters and resources.

  • Are you behind on your rent? We are NOT able to pay any past due rent or provide rental assistance. If you would like help problem solving next steps after eviction, please complete this form.*
